Replica of a 1939 Gar Wood “Vacationer” utility model with modern construction techniques throughout, a “no-soak” bottom, and modern power with a V-8, but with the distinctive Gar Wood folding-vee windshield and original Gar Wood dashboard instrumentation. Her modified bottom design complements the increased power from theengine and the boat will reach 45 MPH. Launched in 2003, she spent her first years on New York’s Lake George and more recently cruises the Thousand Islands section of the St. Lawrence River in extreme Upstate New York. This is a top condition boat with lots of room in her s-shaped cockpit. The boat was a custom build. Only one Fish Bros Made. Most of the hardware is actual Gar Wood hardware from the period. The boat was sold from the original owner to Tony Mollica JR who bought it for his father Tony Mollica who is the Gar Wood historian, and wrote the book on Gar Wood. Tony used the boat for multiple years till he passed it on to the next owner last fall. He now has decided to sell his cabin and sell his 2 wood boats. Asking price $54900.00
